I am delighted to present Carla & Rob’s Bristol Zoo wedding. Highlights from the day can be seen below with the complete gallery available here. I joined Carla at home in Bristol to capture her preparations with her bridesmaid and little flower girl. Braving the hot sunshine we made our way to the Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo. Arriving ahead of Carla I met up with Rob and his groomsmen, eagerly waiting outside the Zoo adjusting buttonholes, welcoming family and friends and enjoying the atmosphere and blue skies before the wedding ceremony began. A beautiful wedding ceremony was enjoyed in the Clifton Pavilion before heading in to the zoo for the first creative wedding photography shoot I’ve ever done involving zoo animals! We’re always hunting for wedding ring shots which reflect the location were in, and we weren’t disappointed here at Bristol Zoo! As it happened, it was national insect week (who knew!), and I asked one of the keepers if we could photograph their wedding rings in amongst the bugs. They happily obliged and to the amusement of the crowd, a keeper appeared inside the enclosure and placed a couple of giant beetles on top of their wedding rings! It really was a beautiful day and Bristol Zoo really was a fabulous venue for their wedding. Enjoy the photos.
